Desert Press explores the shift from geologic process to graphic process through collecting, photographing, scanning, drawing, and printing fragments gathered from the desert (mostly rocks we carried around in tote bags for too long). Moving through cycles of rescanning, redrawing, reprinting, and rephotographing, the images slowly transform into temporary archives shaped by repetition, texture, dust, and print artifacts.
Printed in the Water With Water studio by Nathan Ross Davis and Hagar Allam.
210×297mm,
four-color risograph on 120gsm paper
Edition of 150
